The semester begins in August and extends through May. Summer workshop classes also will be taught. Dates will be announced later The school observes the same holidays as the Killeen public schools. 

 

Curriculum

The school follows American Ballet Theatre's National Training Curriculum® from Primary to Level 3.  Intermediate and Advanced Ballet students follow a Russian based syllabus (Vaganova).  Pointe work is included in Level III, when the student has learned to perform the basic exercises with perfect placement, and when the legs and feet are sufficiently strong and developed. Placement of students is decided upon by the instructor on the basis of individual achievement and technical proficiency.

                    

 

Fall Class Schedule 2010-2011 Fall Classes start August 9th

 

Primary level 1 class per week

Primary I ages 4 to 5 years

 Saturday 9:30-10:15a.m. 

Primary II ages 5 to 6 years

 Saturday 10:15-11:00a.m 

Primary III ages 6 to 7 years

 THursday 4:00-5:00p.m. 

 

 

Level I and II 2 classes per week

Ballet I ages 8 to 10 years               

Tuesday 4:30-5:30p.m.
Friday 4:30-5:30p.m.

 

Ballet II ages 10 and up               

Saturday 11:00a.m.-12:30p.m.
Monday 5:00-6:30p.m.

 

Ballet III ,IV Inter/Adv levels minimum of 2 classes per week

• Ballet III and IV may mix levels and add lower level classes

Ballet III, IV ages 12 and up Intermediate/Advanced      

 Monday 6:30-8:15p.m.Ballet IV

Tuesday 5:30-7:15p.m. Ballet III
Thursday 5:00-6:45p.m. Ballet III THursday 6:45-8:30 Ballet IV
